Our Eco Efforts
Although we don't consider ourselves eco warriors, like many, we are becoming more aware of how our choices impact the planet. It would seem hypocritical if we were to promote the open space, the natural habitat and the wild life, with little thought on how our venture could impact the surroundings. While there is always more to do, we have endeavoured to make our offering as eco friendly as possible.
Upcycled furniture
One of John's favourite hobbies is browsing around antique shops in search of vintage curiosities. One of my favourite pass times is upcycling old, unloved items of furniture and giving them a new lease of life.
Sheepskin rugs
Our sheepskin rugs are from Atterburys Inspiration. A by product of the food chain, ours are made from offcuts. Technically a by product of a by product!
Towels
Our towels are produced from responsibly sourced cotton, promoting less environmentally impactful growing methods. They are also certified to OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN and OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100.
Soft Furnishing
Who knew bedding such as mattress toppers, mattress protectors and pillows could be made from recycled polyester, from waste such as plastic bottles and manufacturing off-cuts?
Scrumbles dog treats are manufactured in the UK. The brand has gone from strength to strength since appearing on The Dragons Den and becoming the second pet food company in the world to certify as an ethical B Corp!

The dog poo bags are made from sugar and corn starch, offering an alternative to the traditional fossil-based plastic bags. They are compostable and break down into non-toxic organic matter.

The complementary Wahl Aloe Soothe Shampoo is based on natural ingredients. Vegan friendly and free from paraben, silicone, phthalates, alcohol, sorbates, phosphate and DEA.

Covering all bases, the complementary tennis balls are pre loved! It takes 400 years for a tennis ball to decompose. As there's currently no recycling in UK, buying used balls reduces landfill waste.

The selection of hot drinks have all been sourced with one thing in mind; the environment. From compostable tea temples to reforestation carbon credits, the chosen brands all have exciting eco credentials.

Cleaning
Ethical, cruelty free cleaning products are used to spruce up the living space, while the laundry is washed with Simple Living Eco detergent sheets. We choose UK manufactured products whenever possible.
Vegan

The complementary Eden toiletries are all vegan, cruelty free and made in the UK. The bottles are made from at least 30% recycled Prevented Ocena Plastic TM

Bringing
up the rear
Our toilet paper is recycled; no bleach, no chemicals, no plastic and manufactured in a fossil fuel free factory. With incredible raw material, product, factory, climate and emmission claims, Naked Sprout are the highest rated B Corp in it's sector.
The compost toilet's covering agent; wood shavings are orgainc, absorbent and sweet smelling. And unlike coconut coir, don't have the carbon footprint associated with international transportation.
The little pack of sanitary products are ethical, climate neutral, cruelty free and from another certified B Corp.
